Sinead O'Connor's Will Reveals Estate, Executor Named

Sinead O'Connor, who passed away at 56 in July 2023, left a detailed will instructing her children to 'milk' her music after her death and to dispense her ashes as they see fit. Her £1.7 million estate, reduced to £1.4 million after debts and costs, was left to her surviving children. The singer's will, signed in 2013 before her conversion to Islam, included requests to be buried in priest's clothes with a Hebrew Bible and her album. O'Connor's death was attributed to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma, confirmed as natural causes by Southwark Coroners Court. Her tragic passing followed the loss of her son Shane, who died at 17 in early 2022. Her ex-husband, John Reynolds, was named as the executor of her estate.
