Police seize illegal tobacco, vapes worth £51k in Burnley, Wolverhampton

In recent operations across the UK, police and Trading Standards have seized significant quantities of illegal tobacco and vaping products. In Burnley, approximately £25,000 worth of products, including 997 packets of cigarettes, 173 pouches of tobacco, and 523 vapes, were confiscated due to health concerns over harmful ingredients. Similarly, in Wolverhampton, more than £26,000 worth of illegal items were seized, including 13,680 illicit cigarettes and 1,546 disposable vapes, after complaints about a local shop. The authorities emphasized that the trade in these illegal products poses risks to community health and undermines legitimate businesses.
