Ukraine Repels Massive Drone Attack on Kyiv

Ukraine successfully repelled a massive Russian drone attack on Kyiv using air defense and electronic warfare systems, shooting down 67 out of 73 drones. The attacks, which lasted over five hours, caused no casualties but did result in damage to critical infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy emphasized the need for more long-range capabilities and air defense systems, following his visit to the White House where he secured $8 billion in military aid. Continuous Russian assaults have targeted Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, with recent strikes on Sumy killing at least 10 and injuring 22 civilians, and attacks on Izmail and Kryvyi Rih resulting in multiple fatalities. Ukraine also claimed to have struck a weapons cache in Russia, potentially containing Iranian missiles.
