Washington emphasized that while he never got addicted to hard drugs, his wine consumption led to considerable damage to his body. After years of battling with his drinking habits, he quit alcohol at the age of 60, stating that he's focused on a healthier lifestyle and future. His journey to sobriety has been supported by friends like Lenny Kravitz, who helped him with personal training. As he turns 70, Washington is optimistic about this new chapter in his life, expressing a desire to make the most of his remaining years.
