East Lansing Police Probe Double Homicide

The East Lansing Police Department is investigating a double homicide after two bodies were discovered in a freezer in a home on Wintercrest Street. A 'person of interest' identified as Jason Brice Weerawat was confirmed dead, though the circumstances of his death are unclear. The investigation began when a 911 call on November 7 reported blood on the floor of the residence, but police found no signs of a break-in. The identification of the victims is still pending, and the ELPD is collaborating with the Michigan State Police Crime Lab and the Ingham County Medical Examiner's Office to process evidence.
