Christine Blount, 38, Identified in Iowa City Shooting

Iowa City police have identified the victim of a shooting on Monday morning as 38-year-old Christine Blount from Iowa City. Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:38 a.m. in the 600 block of S. Dodge Street, where they found Blount suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to a hospital but was later pronounced dead. The police have stated that the incident appears to be isolated and are currently investigating, with no arrests made so far. The Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and encourages residents with security footage to come forward.
