Kevin Nolan Appointed Northampton Town Manager
Kevin Nolan has been appointed as the new manager of Northampton Town on a two-and-a-half-year contract, succeeding Jon Brady who resigned earlier this month. Nolan, a former Premier League player with over 400 appearances, previously managed Leyton Orient and Notts County and was most recently a coach at West Ham United. Northampton Town is currently positioned 20th in League One, just above the relegation zone, following a heavy defeat to Rotherham United. Nolan's first match in charge will be against Reading on Boxing Day, and he faces the challenge of quickly improving the team's performance amidst a busy holiday schedule. The club's chairman, Kelvin Thomas, praised Nolan's energy, knowledge, and passion, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the team up the league table. Nolan is eager to start and aims to repay the board's faith by steering the club away from relegation threats.
