Major Midwest and South Road Closures Announced

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has closed two major ramps connecting I-480 and I-77 in Cuyahoga County for bridge deck replacement, with closures expected to last until September. The affected ramps are from I-480 East to I-77 North (closed as of April 28) and from I-480 West to I-77 South (closed as of April 29), impacting an estimated 16,000 motorists and causing significant detours. To help reduce congestion, ODOT is adjusting traffic signals and reopening certain ramps, but drivers should expect delays and plan alternate routes. Additionally, Indiana's Department of Transportation is closing the intersection of Indiana 149 and County Road 875 N/Robbins Road through August for improvements. In Tennessee, the northbound and southbound ramps of Ellington Parkway at Trinity Lane will be closed temporarily for concrete repairs, with posted detours. These projects reflect widespread infrastructure upgrades across several states, and authorities urge motorists to exercise caution in construction zones.
