The incident occurred around 4 PM local time, prompting extensive search efforts involving the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), local rangers, and various emergency services. Despite ongoing searches by air and sea, there have been no signs of Narjissi. The French Rugby Federation (FFR) is providing support to Narjissi's family and teammates, including psychological assistance. Narjissi was in South Africa to participate in the U18 International Series, where the French team is scheduled to face South Africa, England, and Georgia. The FFR has expressed deep concern over the situation and is coordinating efforts with local authorities.
