Seattle Arrest in Pioneer Square Shooting; Tesla Vandalism Rise

Seattle police arrested a 21-year-old early Sunday after a drive-by shooting in Pioneer Square that was captured on a nearby Tesla's recording. Video showed a man crouched behind a vehicle firing at about 1:37 a.m.; he fled in a white Mercedes-Benz, was located about an hour later and booked on investigation of drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm, and police seized two vehicles linked to the incident. SPD said Teslas' continuous recording features are frequently used in such investigations. Separately, a Tesla owner in San Francisco posted video after their Model 3 was keyed while Sentry Mode was off, part of a reported rise in vandalism and Supercharger attacks in cities including New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
