American Airlines Expands Florida, Bahamas Nonstop Flights February 2026

American Airlines is expanding its service with several new routes launching in early 2026. Starting February 12, 2026, the airline will offer direct flights from Charlotte to Vero Beach, Florida, providing year-round access and enhancing connectivity for both leisure and business travelers. This new service marks American Airlines as the third commercial carrier at Vero Beach Regional Airport, joining JetBlue and Breeze Airways. Additionally, American Airlines will begin nonstop flights from Miami to Bimini, Bahamas, on February 14, 2026, operating three times weekly with Embraer 175 aircraft, making it the only U.S. carrier offering nonstop service to Bimini. These flights aim to boost tourism and economic growth in the Bahamas, complementing American’s extensive Caribbean network. The airline's Miami hub remains a critical focal point, with a record-setting winter schedule and ongoing investments in passenger amenities.
