Woman Guilty of Milkshake Assault on Farage

Victoria Thomas Bowen, 25, has pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage after throwing a banana-flavored milkshake over Nigel Farage, Reform UK leader, during the general election campaign on June 4 in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. Originally, Bowen denied the charges at Westminster Magistrates' Court but changed her plea at the last minute before the trial. The incident occurred as Farage, who is now MP for Clacton, was leaving the Moon and Starfish pub, having addressed supporters at a rally. Bowen admitted to causing £17.50 worth of damage to the jacket of Farage’s security officer. The judge has adjourned sentencing to December 16 and has requested a pre-sentence report. Farage expressed concern over the incident, noting it as a disruption to public engagement during his campaign.
