Isaiah Hodgins Signs Future Contract with 49ers

Wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins has signed a reserve/future contract with the San Francisco 49ers after a diminishing role with the New York Giants. Hodgins, originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2020, made an impact during the 2022 season with the Giants, catching 33 passes for 351 yards and four touchdowns, including a strong performance in the playoffs. However, his contributions declined significantly over the following seasons, leading him to spend most of 2024 on the practice squad. The 49ers are looking to bolster their receiving corps, having also signed veteran wide receivers Trent Taylor and Russell Gage to similar contracts. Hodgins will have the chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp next summer. His move to San Francisco marks a new opportunity for the receiver to revive his career.
