Flint Man Charged with Murder After Christmas Eve Shooting

Malik Letroy Webb, a 29-year-old Flint man, has been charged with felony murder following a Christmas Eve shooting that left clinical psychologist Dr. Barbara Wolf dead and two others injured. Webb allegedly shot Wolf, 71, after she stopped to assist him when his car went into a ditch, also injuring her 38-year-old daughter and a 56-year-old man who came to help. He faces a 19-count warrant including multiple charges such as assault with intent to murder and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Authorities reported that Wolf succumbed to her injuries after being transported to the hospital, while her daughter remains in serious condition. Webb, a convicted felon with prior gun-related offenses, is being held without bond and faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted of the murder charge. The Oakland County Sheriff emphasized the preventable nature of this tragic incident, highlighting the risks posed by releasing felons back into the community.
