Additionally, the Atlantic Council uncovered a pro-Kremlin operation known as the Pravda Network that floods Wikipedia with pro-Russian and anti-Western narratives, potentially impacting how AI chatbots are trained. The lawmakers have requested documents and communications from the Wikimedia Foundation to understand how it detects and responds to such misconduct and to assess the foundation's efforts to maintain the platform’s neutrality. The Wikimedia Foundation acknowledged receiving the request and expressed willingness to cooperate to protect the integrity of its information.
