Purdue Football Expands Coaching Staff

Purdue's head coach Barry Odom is rapidly assembling his coaching staff, recently hiring Charles Clark as the defensive backs coach, Jake Trump as the defensive ends coach, and Kelvin Green as the defensive line coach. Clark, previously at Memphis, is noted for his success in developing All-AAC defensive backs and will aim to improve Purdue's struggling pass defense. Trump, a former linebacker under Odom at Missouri, brings experience from Arkansas as an assistant linebackers coach. Green, who also worked with Odom at Arkansas, has a strong background in player development and coaching at Delta State. These hires reflect Odom's strategy to strengthen Purdue's defense ahead of the 2025 season, following a challenging previous year. Additionally, offensive coordinator Josh Henson has been brought in from USC, and running backs coach Lamar Conard has been retained.
