Lionsgate Acquires Rights to Expendables and Rambo Franchises from Millennium Media

Lionsgate has secured a comprehensive deal with Millennium Media to develop and produce all derivative works of The Expendables franchise and to distribute worldwide the upcoming sixth Rambo film, John Rambo. This partnership makes Lionsgate the lead studio and production partner for all future Rambo television projects and grants the studio the opportunity to participate in future Rambo films. Noah Centineo is in final negotiations to star in John Rambo, directed by Jalmari Helander, with production set to begin next year in Thailand. Lionsgate's rights extend beyond films to include television series, video games, immersive experiences, and other cross-platform content for The Expendables. Lionsgate has previously distributed several entries in both franchises across various territories, reinforcing their strong position in action genre IP. Both studios express enthusiasm for expanding these iconic franchises to new audiences with fresh creative visions.
