Ohio's statewide human trafficking operation, 'Operation END-OHHT,' led by Attorney General Dave Yost, resulted in the arrest of 132 individuals seeking to buy sex, including 22 aiming for minors. Conducted from October 6-12 across 19 counties, the operation involved over 100 law enforcement agencies and targeted locations such as massage parlors and motels linked to trafficking activities. Among those arrested were government employees, laborers, and a registered sex offender. In addition to the arrests, authorities identified and offered support to 74 human trafficking survivors. The operation also furthered several long-term investigations, with law enforcement seizing over $20,000 in cash and other evidence. Yost emphasized the importance of curbing demand as a means to combat human trafficking effectively, urging prosecutors to ensure there are consequences for those fueling the trade.
