Public Invited to Funeral Procession for Fallen Nebraska Trooper

The Nebraska State Patrol has announced the details for Trooper Kyle McAcy's funeral and procession, scheduled for Thursday. The procession will start at 9 a.m. from Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha, traveling to Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, where the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Members of the public are invited to line the route to pay their respects, but parking along the procession route is prohibited. The route will be closed to regular traffic starting at 8:30 a.m. McAcy, a 10-year veteran of the Patrol, was tragically killed after being struck by a snowplow while responding to an accident on Interstate 80. Attendees are advised to park in designated lots and enter through specific doors at the arena, where seating will be available for the public.
