Stolen Car Crashes into Canton Ice Cream Shop

A 23-year-old man, Preston Cingle, was arrested after crashing a stolen Honda Accord into Taggarts Ice Cream shop in Canton, Ohio, in the early hours of September 16, 2024. The incident occurred around 2:12 a.m. when Cingle attempted to evade a traffic stop, resulting in extensive damage to the historic ice cream parlor, which has been serving customers since 1926. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the shop's management reassured patrons that they would work diligently to reopen. Cingle faces multiple charges, including grand theft of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence, and has been booked into Stark County Jail.
