East Lothian officers are also patrolling retail areas to address shoplifting and anti-social behavior, with a focus on community safety. Gwent Police has implemented 'Operation Tinsel,' utilizing facial recognition technology to track repeat offenders and provide them with necessary support. Meanwhile, Northumbria Police has deployed a specialized team to Gateshead, already achieving multiple arrests and the return of stolen goods to retailers.
