CBP Seizes Over $6.3 Million in Drugs
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas, seized over $6.3 million worth of narcotics in two separate incidents over the weekend. The first seizure on December 27 involved 29.80 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a shipment of roof sealant, valued at approximately $266,000. The following day, officers discovered 2,708.15 pounds of marijuana concealed in a trailer carrying mechanical appliances, with a street value exceeding $6 million. Laredo Port Director Alberto Flores highlighted these seizures as part of ongoing efforts to detect high-risk shipments and ensure community safety. The narcotics have been seized, and investigations are being conducted by Homeland Security Investigations. No arrests have been made at this time.
