The Citadel Tops US News Best Regional Universities South Rankings

The Citadel has been ranked the Best Regional University in the South by U.S. News & World Report for the second consecutive year and has held the title of Best Public University in the South for 15 years. The Military College of South Carolina also received recognition for its School of Engineering, business, and computer science programs, and was named the Best College for Veterans in the South for eight years running. Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) was ranked 16th among regional colleges in the South and 50th overall, with noted tuition costs and a 16% four-year graduation rate. The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith (UAFS) achieved a ranking of 21st among Regional Colleges in the South and experienced a significant jump in social mobility rankings, also placing 6th among Best Colleges for Veterans. These rankings highlight the academic excellence, leadership development, and veteran support offered by these Southern institutions.
