Accenture Plans Acquire SIPAL Aerospace Defense Unit Italy

Accenture is set to acquire SIPAL's Integrated Product Support (IPS) business in Italy, enhancing its engineering capabilities in the aerospace and defense sectors across Italy and Europe. SIPAL's IPS division specializes in maintaining the operational availability of complex systems such as aerial and land vehicles and naval vessels, supporting major national and European defense programs. Approximately 250 engineering professionals from SIPAL will join Accenture’s Industry X division, which focuses on digital engineering, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects. The acquisition aligns with Accenture's strategy to invest in Italian excellence and drive digital transformation in key industries by combining SIPAL’s defense engineering expertise with Accenture's product engineering, digital, data, and AI capabilities. Financial details of the deal remain undisclosed and are subject to standard closing conditions. Both companies view the acquisition as an opportunity to expand SIPAL’s presence internationally and deliver greater value to clients.
