Mark Lanegan's Bubblegum XX Deluxe Reissue Announced

A previously unreleased song by Mark Lanegan titled "Heard a Train" has been made available ahead of the deluxe reissue of his 2004 album Bubblegum, which is set to release on August 23. The reissue, titled Bubblegum XX, includes remastered audio of the original album, alongside 12 unheard tracks and various demos, marking the first release from Lanegan's estate following his death in 2022. "Heard a Train" features a full-band performance showcasing Lanegan's distinctive voice and haunting lyrics, with elements reminiscent of Eastern European folk-ska. The reissue will also include a duet with Beck and other tracks recorded during sessions with Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age. Lanegan's original Bubblegum album was celebrated for its blend of rock and bluesy rhythms, and the upcoming release is anticipated to honor his artistic legacy.
