Norwegian Forces Deploy to Protect Ukraine Aid Hub

Norway has deployed NASAMS air defense systems and F-35 fighter jets to Rzeszów, Poland, to secure a vital logistics hub for military aid to Ukraine. This NATO-led mission, which is set to last until Easter, includes the deployment of 100 Norwegian troops tasked with overseeing the safe transport of military supplies. The Rzeszów-Jasionka airport is crucial as it serves as a transit point for up to 90% of Western military cargo heading to Ukraine. Currently, the facility is also protected by American Patriot air defense systems, with additional security measures planned. The Norwegian Ministry of Defense emphasized the importance of this mission in supporting Ukraine's defense efforts. The NASAMS systems are already operational and serve various countries, including the U.S., Lithuania, and Finland.
