Five Arrested in Israeli Terror Plot

Israeli police and the Shin Bet security service have arrested five residents of Taybeh, affiliated with ISIS, for plotting a car bombing at the Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv. The group's leaders, Mahmoud Azzam and Ibrahim Sheik Yousef, along with recruits Sajed Masarwa, Abdullah Baransi, and Abdel Kareem Baransi, were apprehended following a month-long undercover investigation. The suspects had watched videos of terror attacks in Syria and discussed logistics for their own attack, including the amount of explosives needed to target the iconic mall. Authorities revealed that Azzam and Yousef had contacted foreign ISIS operatives and intended to travel abroad for further connections. The plot was thwarted before execution due to effective intelligence operations, and indictments are expected soon. Security officials emphasized the seriousness of this threat posed by Israeli citizens under ISIS ideology.
