Sjöm wins gold

Swedish swimmer Sarah Sjöström secured her second gold medal at the Paris Olympics by winning the women's 50-meter freestyle, adding to her previous victory in the 100-meter freestyle. At 30 years old and competing in her fifth Olympics, Sjöström finished the race in 23.71 seconds, ahead of Australia's Meg Harris (23.97) and China's Zhang Yufei (24.20). Sjöström's performance included setting an Olympic record in the semifinals with a time of 23.66 seconds. Despite making some mistakes during the final, she maintained a commanding lead after the first 15 meters. This victory marks her third career Olympic gold, while she holds the world record in both the 50 and 100-meter events.
