Law enforcement agencies in Punjab, Pakistan, arrested 33 terrorists linked to various banned groups, including Al-Qaeda and 133 Brigade, effectively thwarting a major terror plot. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted 475 intelligence-based operations across the province, leading to 32 registered cases against the suspects. Among the arrested, six were detained in Lahore, where authorities recovered significant explosives, hand grenades, and weapons intended for attacks on sensitive sites. The CTD stated that the terrorists had completed reconnaissance of targeted locations and were following agendas set by outlawed organizations.
