Newly released text messages reveal Columbia University administrators disparaging Jewish students and downplaying their concerns about antisemitism. The messages, obtained by the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, show deans Susan Chang-Kim, Cristen Kromm, and others describing Jewish students as coming from a 'place of privilege' and suggesting their issues receive attention due to financial influence. The texts, exchanged during a May panel on Jewish campus life, include remarks mocking the need for Jewish students to gather at the Kraft Center, Columbia's Jewish student center. Following the initial exposure of some messages, three of the four administrators were suspended.
