Disney Confirms Coco 2 Development for 2029
Disney and Pixar have announced the development of 'Coco 2', a sequel to the 2017 Oscar-winning film 'Coco', with a scheduled release in 2029. The announcement was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger during the annual shareholder meeting, highlighting that the film will bring back the original creative team, including director Lee Unkrich and co-director Adrian Molina. The sequel promises to deliver the same humor, heart, and adventure that charmed audiences in the first film. 'Coco', which followed the story of 12-year-old Miguel and his journey to the Land of the Dead, was both a critical and commercial success, grossing over $814 million worldwide. The film won multiple awards including two Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ('Remember Me'). As of now, plot details for 'Coco 2' remain undisclosed.
