Georgia Road Rage Shooting Kills Texas Man, Suspect Charged
A Texas man, 64-year-old Richard Hawk, was fatally shot in the head during a road rage incident on Interstate 85 in Troup County, Georgia. Deputies discovered Hawk unresponsive in his vehicle in the median near the 11-mile marker and he died shortly after being transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. Witnesses reported aggressive driving and road rage between Hawk's vehicle and another car, providing the police with the license plate number and description of the suspect's vehicle. Authorities arrested 23-year-old Nytorian Allen of LaGrange, Georgia, who has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have urged anyone with information to contact the Troup County Sheriff's Office. The incident briefly prompted a lockdown at West Point Elementary School as law enforcement conducted their investigation.
