Angelo Gabriel Joins Al-Nassr from Chelsea

Chelsea has officially sold 19-year-old winger Angelo Gabriel to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr for a fee of £19.1 million, marking a £6.1 million profit for the Blues. Gabriel, who joined Chelsea from Santos for £13 million in July 2023, never made a competitive appearance for the club and spent the previous season on loan at Strasbourg, where he made 24 appearances without scoring. His transfer contributes to Chelsea's significant summer sales, which have approached £200 million as the club aims to balance its finances after a two-year spending spree. At Al-Nassr, he will join stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, and he has signed a five-year contract with the team. The sale underscores Chelsea's strategy of acquiring young talent and either developing them or selling for profit if needed. Meanwhile, Chelsea is also exploring loan options for another Brazilian player, Deivid Washington.
