Gray Television, Nexstar Win 133 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) recently honored local television stations from Gray Media and Nexstar Media Group with regional Edward R. Murrow Awards recognizing excellence in journalism. Gray Media's 38 stations received 81 awards across various categories, including Overall Excellence, News Series, Best Newscast, Investigative Reporting, and Excellence in Innovation, with WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin, and WVUE in New Orleans leading the tally. Meanwhile, Nexstar Media Group's 28 owned and operated stations earned 52 awards, highlighting achievements in Overall Excellence, Breaking News Coverage, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and other categories, with WKRG-TV and KGET-TV notably recognized for Overall Excellence. These awards underscore both companies' commitment to high-quality, locally produced news content and journalistic integrity. Nexstar's leadership emphasized the dedication of their 6,000 journalists nationwide and the importance of unbiased news reporting.
