Manchester United Players Lose Confidence in Goalkeepers Onana, Bayindir After Early Season Struggles

Manchester United's squad is reportedly losing confidence in their two senior goalkeepers, Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana, following a poor start to the 2025 season. Bayindir made a crucial error leading to Arsenal's winner in the opening Premier League match and looked uncertain in a recent draw with Fulham, while Onana's performance against League Two side Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup was widely criticized after he was at fault for both goals in a 2-2 draw and only saved one penalty in a shootout loss. The team’s morale has hit a low point, with players describing the loss to Grimsby as worse than previous heavy defeats to Liverpool, and there is growing doubt about the goalkeepers' reliability. Despite this, manager Ruben Amorim has refrained from publicly criticizing either goalkeeper, emphasizing that the issues extend beyond just the goalkeepers.
