Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has challenged Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to disclose his family's assets before he reveals his own, insisting on accountability regarding alleged misuse of power by Kumaraswamy's brother. During a rally in Ramanagara, Shivakumar accused Kumaraswamy of corruption related to benami properties and demanded clarity on the wealth amassed by his brother, Balakrishna Gowda. He also criticized the BJP for its accusations against him and asserted that the Congress party remains strong despite political challenges. The rally was a response to the BJP-JD(S) foot march protesting a local scam, where Shivakumar reinforced his commitment to transparency. He further refuted Kumaraswamy's claims regarding his past imprisonment and emphasized his political resilience.
