Shaw described the song as a playful but serious take on how powerful forces seek to influence behavior for their gain, inspired by Sly and the Family Stone's 'There's a Riot Goin' On.' Cate Le Bon praised the band's unique chemistry and vitality during recording, highlighting the album's vibrant expression.
