Netflix Begins Dublin Filming for Marian Keyes Drama Grown Ups

Netflix has begun filming the eight-part drama series Grown Ups in and around Dublin, adapting Marian Keyes' best-selling novel. The series follows the Casey family, a close-knit but chaotic Irish clan in South County Dublin, as they cope with the sudden death of the "good son," leading to a year of emotional upheaval, romance, and the challenges of adulthood. The ensemble cast includes Sarah Greene as Jessie, Robert Sheehan as Liam, Barry Ward as Johnny, Aisling Bea as Cara, and Adrian Dunbar as Canice, among others. Created and written by Samantha Strauss, the production is a collaboration between See-Saw Films and Strauss' label Picking Scabs, with Keyes serving as an executive producer. The series promises to explore themes of loyalty, resentment, memory, and love, while balancing warmth, wit, and deep emotion. A release date has yet to be announced, but with filming underway, the show is expected to premiere soon.
