Multiple UK, US Music Festivals Return, Launch This Summer

Several significant music festivals are set to take place in the UK and the US this summer, marking returns and new beginnings for these events. In Maine, the inaugural Back Cove Music & Arts Festival will be held at Portland’s Payson Park, featuring headliners Lord Huron, André 3000, Jack White, and others, alongside local food vendors and two music stages without overlapping sets. In Wellington, the Welliestock festival is making a comeback on July 5 at Wellington Rugby Football Club after a licensing agreement was reached with Somerset Council, despite earlier concerns from police about the event management plan; the event will host up to 1,700 people and include live and recorded music, with tickets priced at £20 for adults and £10 for young people. Cornwall is also seeing a revival of music festivals on Crinnis beach, the site of the former Cornwall Coliseum, with two beach festivals — Tunes on The Shore and Tunes at The Coliseum — featuring big-name artists like Sam Ryder and The Darkness, continuing the site’s historic legacy of hosting major acts. These events collectively highlight a resurgence of live music festivals post-pandemic and the utilization of historic or scenic venues to attract diverse audiences.
