Juvenile Charged Adult After Tuscaloosa Shooting Injures Woman

A woman was seriously injured in a shooting early Sunday morning near 21st Street and Alston Avenue in Tuscaloosa. The shooting occurred during an ongoing argument among a group of people that had been escalating over several days. A juvenile male suspect, who was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and other related charges. The victim was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center and is expected to survive. The investigation into how the juvenile obtained the stolen gun is ongoing, and additional charges are anticipated. Due to Alabama law, the suspect's identity has not been disclosed, and he is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail awaiting bond proceedings.
