Columbus police have identified Deontae D'Quel Daniel, 25, as a suspect in the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Cordell Tatney on Cleveland Avenue. The shooting occurred during an alleged ongoing feud between the two men while Tatney was visiting a friend. Witnesses reported seeing Daniel and an unnamed male waiting outside the apartment before returning and firing multiple shots, with Daniel later seen fleeing the scene with a handgun. Tatney was pronounced dead at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center shortly after the incident. Detectives are still searching for the second suspect and have noted that two young children were present during the shooting. Daniel is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
