Remains of Tsering Wangyal Confirmed in Evanston

The remains of Tsering Wangyal, an 82-year-old woman missing since July 15, have been found and identified in a wooded area in Evanston, Illinois. Her disappearance prompted extensive search efforts from her family and community, highlighting her role as a beloved elder in the Tibetan community. Known by her middle name, Dolma, she was last seen at the Levy Senior Center in Evanston and was believed to have been trying to reach the Tibetan Alliance of Chicago. Authorities found her remains on November 30, along with clothing and belongings matching her description.
