India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar explained that his actions were genuine amid criticism from Western media over his visit to Russia and relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Jaishankar noted that the India-Russia relationship is essential and has served India well, emphasizing the need for a thoughtful approach in dealing with other countries. During his visit to Russia, Jaishankar conveyed warm greetings to Putin on behalf of PM Modi and stated that their bilateral trade has made significant progress, surpassing USD 50 billion.
