2025 Diamond League Begins in China

The 2025 Diamond League will kick off with two events in China, starting with Xiamen on April 26, followed by Shanghai/Suzhou on May 3. The competition will span 15 cities across 14 countries, culminating in a two-day finale in Zurich on August 27-28, marking its first return to the city since 2022. Other notable stops include Doha, Rabat, and various European cities before heading to the United States for the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene. The event will feature a record prize pool of over $9 million, distributed across the series and the final. Athletes will compete across 32 disciplines aiming to qualify for the final where the iconic Diamond Trophy will be awarded to the champions. This edition sets the stage for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, scheduled for September 13-21.
