Flau’jae Johnson Hosts Major Savannah Giveback Festival

Flau’jae Johnson, LSU basketball star and rapper, hosted her third annual Back2School Giveaway and Giveback Festival at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. Organized by the Flau'jae Johnson Foundation with partners including Powerade, Puma, and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, the event provided over 2,500 attendees with free backpacks, shoes, school supplies, clothing, and headphones. This year, the festival expanded to offer free mobile mammogram screenings for women to promote early cancer detection in underserved communities. Johnson, an SEC Freshman of the Year and All-American, emphasized her dedication to supporting local children and families facing economic hardship. The event featured live music, food, and a rap performance by Johnson. A donation check was presented to St. Joseph’s/Candler to help fund health initiatives in the community.
