Boy Found After 12 Hours Post-Accident
A tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 168 in Fresno County, resulting in the death of a 30-year-old woman and injuries to her 7-year-old son. The California Highway Patrol reported the incident after receiving a call about a missing person who failed to return home after leaving a friend's house. The woman's Subaru reportedly left the road, rolling multiple times down an embankment, with both occupants being ejected from the vehicle, as neither were wearing seatbelts. The boy spent nearly 12 hours by his mother's side before seeking help by walking to the highway, where he was found and taken to Valley Children's Hospital with moderate to major injuries. The accident remains under investigation, with toxicology reports pending to determine if substances were a factor. The child has since been reunited with his father.
