WWE Premium Live Events Move to ESPN starting September

News summary

WWE's premium live events (PLEs) will move from Peacock to ESPN's new direct-to-consumer streaming service starting September 20, 2025, ahead of the originally planned 2026 transition. The shift is driven by WWE fulfilling its Peacock PLE obligations early due to an expanded 2025 event schedule. The inaugural ESPN WWE PLE will be Wrestlepalooza, held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, featuring major superstars including John Cena in his final wrestling appearance in the city. ESPN will become the exclusive U.S. domestic home for all WWE PLEs, including marquee events like Crown Jewel, Survivor Series, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam, with some events also simulcast on ESPN linear channels. The partnership is part of a $1.6 billion, five-year deal between WWE and ESPN, aiming to integrate WWE more deeply into mainstream sports coverage under the umbrella of TKO Group Holdings, which owns both WWE and UFC. Peacock will continue to stream WWE's NXT events, while WWE and Peacock are negotiating new programming outside of the main roster PLEs.
