Ranieri Officially Returns as Roma Manager

Claudio Ranieri has been appointed as the head coach of Roma for the third time, in a caretaker role until the end of the 2024-25 season, following the dismissal of Ivan Juric. Ranieri, who previously led Roma from 2009 to 2011 and briefly in 2019, returns to assist the club through a difficult period, with the team currently 12th in Serie A. This appointment follows Ranieri's retirement announcement after a successful campaign with Cagliari, where he helped them avoid relegation. Post-season, he will transition into a senior advisory role, helping to select a long-term successor. Roma has had a challenging season, having already gone through three coaches, including Daniele De Rossi and Juric, who was recently let go after a poor run of form. Ranieri is known for leading Leicester City to a historic Premier League victory in 2016.
