Thomas Manzo Sentenced for Mob-Linked Assault

Thomas Manzo, the ex-husband of 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Dina Manzo, was sentenced to seven years in prison for hiring a mobster to assault her then-boyfriend, now husband, David Cantin. Manzo was found guilty of conspiracy, falsifying documents, and committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering. He hired John Perna, a soldier in the Lucchese crime family, to perform the attack in exchange for a lavish wedding reception at Manzo's catering hall, The Brownstone. Perna pleaded guilty in 2020 and served a 2½-year sentence. U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger condemned the act as 'abhorrent,' emphasizing the commitment to holding those accountable for such crimes. Manzo will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.
