Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir apprehended a suspect identified as Mohd Shabir, affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force, during a joint operation at the Potha bypass in Poonch district. Shabir was found in possession of three HE-36 hand grenades, explosive substances, and other incriminating materials after attempting to flee from security personnel. Preliminary investigations revealed that he was in contact with Azim Khan, a handler based in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, who had instructed him to collect the explosives from Surankot. Authorities have taken cognizance of the situation, and further arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues. This operation highlights ongoing security concerns in the region related to militant activities and cross-border terrorism. Similar operations have resulted in previous arrests linked to terrorist groups in the area.
